About Posh Bagel

Located at 4037 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, CA 94611, Posh Bagel operates as a bagel shop serving Oakland in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under bakery, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

In Oakland, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across California, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Day-old bread and end-of-day discounts are common if you ask.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7:30 am–2 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (510) 597-0381. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is theposhbagel.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

With 3.5 out of 5 on Google from 87 reviews, it sits in the middle of the range for bagel shops in Oakland. Recent reviews are the best guide.

Oakland is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Oakland follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Place is really good has that home-made taste but with that corporate price tag, charging 14 dollar for a egg, ham on bagel, just not worth it, if it was 8 bucks would come every morning.

Meh🫀 This isn’t a real bagel, it’s half dinner roll - half bagel. Even smells and pulls apart like a roll. And it had no taste, so I toasted it and even worse lol! Tastes like a poofy, airy, cardboard bagel. Really crap flavor. Threw it out, was unsalvageable. Hope a Noah’s moves inπŸ™‚

I am a regular customer of them. Living 5 minutes away from their store. Today I went to buy bagel, coffee and croissants for my wife and her parents. I decided to buy three fresh orange 🍊 juices also. Store peoples knew that the orange juices not fresh, till they sale that. When I bought that to home, it was smelling wired and not fresh from Today at all. No body in home drink that juices. I think they don't care about their store reputation. They just want money from customer not value about food quality and test. Please please please πŸ™ try to sale morning fresh juices and we want and pay for. Thanks

I don't like sharing poor reviews on small businesses, but perhaps this can spur some improvements from management and help steer customers to a better order. I ordered the egg sandwich on asiago cheese bagel. Just the basic one with cheese. It was about $10, over priced, and just not made with very much love. Of course it's just cafe-made egg, but it tasted like nothing, bland. The asiago bagel itself must have been off that day--it tasted very "flour-ey"...I don't know how to say it, but it wasn't good at all. I took a few bites, wrapped it back up, let the cashier know, "thank you. It is not good at all. Im sorry, thank you, but it is not good at all." I didnt bother to ask for a refund--no, I'm not like that. I just wanted to give them honest feedback. I appreciated the kind and soft-spoken service, but unfortunately, it wasn't even enough to make for an okay experience. I've walked past this eatery for over 2 decades it seems...and I've always been curious about it. And bummer, I'm more made at myself for spending so much on something I could have made at home--and that's what I really should have done.

$19.00 for this tiny basic sandwich. Definitely don’t go here for lunch if you’re on a budget. Bagels are decent, definitely not Boichik bagels.
